Marand facilities balance ergonomic manual solutions and fully automated lights out manufacturing and processing to deliver high-quality, efficient and affordable solutions tailored specifically to client needs. 

Our automation experience includes small and large scale welding, handling and assembly operation projects. Equipped with in-house capability in robotics, conveyors, manipulators and automated guided vehicles (AGV), expertise in jig and fixture design, and experience with exotic materials Marand is a low-risk choice for discerning clients.

All equipment is designed and manufactured from our state-of-the-art headquarters in Victoria, Australia, and serviced by a mature, audited global supply chain 40 years in the making. These factors give Marand unrivalled capacity to deliver product solutions that are fit for purpose and stand the test of time, every time.

Our capacity to deliver large scale projects in-house surpasses any other Australian automation company, demonstrated by our recent successful bid for a project requiring in excess of 41,000 engineering hours just in the feasibility stage. In addition, Marand has designed and is currently building the world’s most advanced rail maintenance workshops for two of the largest international iron ore mining companies.

  • Land 400 opportunity provides future Ford Geelong site potential

    9 November 2017

    Today Marand announced a plan to breathe new life into the historic Ford Geelong facility. Marand is currently negotiating with Ford about the future use of the Geelong facility to open up further advanced manufacturing jobs for Geelong. Marand Executive Chairman Mr David Ellul said “As teaming partners for Land 400, we would love to produce the BAE Systems AMV35 Hulls and Turrets here in Marand’s Geelong facility. Marand and Ford Australia have worked together for over 40 years; I’m currently in discussions with Ford to ensure we can make this a long term reality in the next chapter for the Geelong community.”

    BAE Systems Australia and leading Australian defence SME Marand today announced a teaming agreement for LAND 400, building on the companies’ long-term partnership on major projects.

    Marand is now accredited for CMM and Laser Tracker measurement and inspection by The National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program (Nadcap).
